I recently came across these very same hats at a local mall this past Christmas. As an avid walker and hiker, even in the dead of winter I am always looking for something a little warmer and more comfortable with the least amount of effort to put on, or carry along. For years there was the traditional knit hat, or toque that was on my list as standard equipment both for walking and hiking. That is until I tried one of these on at the mall this past holiday season and decided that they have easily incorporated into the design of these the 3 essentials necessary for keeping warm and comfy while braving the winters savage elements. A knit toque for the head, an extended ear flap to take care of the ears, and a visor for the very obvious reasons as to why we very often need one. Quite simply put, I found these hats to be far more warm and comfy than the traditional toque for surviving the long winter here in New England. Most of all, I wish that I had located the hats here before...

I was looking for a winter hat that would keep snow/rain off of my face.
This hat is exactly what I needed. I don't like to carry umbrellas at work because I carry a tote and a purse. This is a great hands free way of keeping my face dry and the hat is nice and warm.This is a very well made hat.

Great Hat, Very Stylish and Great for winter
I bought this hat about a month ago, I got 2 white and 1 black, And I must say I don't dare going outside without them. The material that it is made out is very stretchy,and feels great, it does not itch like my other hats, and you can wear this hat all day [ for those with bad hair days ].The hat itself is very stylish and looks really nice.Im going to proceed to buy 3-4 more hats.There is a issue, on the white hats if you get anything on them, dirt, ink, etc, it is not easy to make it go away. I know on one of the white ones I bought I got a little dirt, and it still hasn't come off asfter 3 washes.

Ooo, I love it!
Before I got this beanie, I was wearing a regular beanie that was a bit too loose and long. The length would put the front of beanie in my eyes, and it was too short to just fold up around the edges. So, after I'd almost gotten hit, while crossing the street, I decided that I definitely needed to get a beanie with a bill on the front.I immediately fell in love with this, when I put it on. The size is perfect for me. If you have a lot of hair, then this is probably not going to cover your ears. I keep my hair very low, and the beanie goes over my ears with a centimeter to spare.It feels great on my head, very snug, not loose like my other beanie. The bill feels sturdy. The material is very soft and comfortable. I'm excited to wear it in the cold, to compare it to my old beanies for warmth.Note: this is my first beanie in this style. If you're looking at the DaKine brand, it's safe to say you're a bro. As a bro, don't even think about wearing this hat straight. It must be worn with a slight tilt to the side. Upon receiving your DaKine Men's Waffle Visor beanie, throw on your favorite pair of Hollister jeans and aviator sunglasses and you'll be ready to head over to the homies' for an impromptu brodeo (i.e.: video game session or pay per view UFC event). Not as great as they say.
This waffle visor beanie sure looks great, I purchased based on some other reviews from people saying it, "fit their huge head well" Apparently you don't have a huge head at al. My hat size is 7 7/8 and this beanie BARLEY covers my ears and this is only when I wear it with the bill facing backwards and it fully stretched, If the bill is facing forward it just looks stupid, so the 1 size fits all isn't so accurate. BUT if your head size is more in the 7 1/4 range your will be happy. Just thought I'd let people know who have to deal with the issue of truly having a large head.

I bought these so I could wear them instead of a goofy looking beanie over my ball cap,good quality just as described but I wear a 7 and a half fitted hat and it doesn't come close to covering my ears,will be good stocking stuffer,would be a five just disappointed at the size.

Worth it for the price
First and foremost, I didn't have any shipping details until the hat came to my city and was in transit. It was a fast delivery none the less. The hat came in a LIGHTER GRAY than what's portrayed in the picture. The hat FITS TIGHT AT FIRST! After a week of wearing it it fits pretty comfortably or I've gotten used to it. I have a larger head than most (L-XL in flexfit hat's fit comfortably on me however). I have to set the hat on my head and pull it all the way down to fit. Maybe it'll break in after a while and if it does I'll write another review. The hat leaves extra room at the top, even on my head, it is still a RELATIVELY TALL HAT.. Depending on how you like your hat's it could be a good look. Phenomenal stitching job, just be careful if your the kind of person who likes to mess with the brim. (IE flipping it up and down constantly etc) The BRIM IS REALLY FIRM. I wore the hat in a recent Nor'Easter storm without an umbrella and the rain was pretty constant at that point. No...
