This is a great cap!
I'm on my 5th cap now I think. Silicone is great and lasts forever. Unlike rubber (which can snag hair) and latex (which some people are allergic to) silicone fits smoothly over wet hair, has a glossy finish so it looks great and doesn't lose elasticity. I have a some advice if you want to try this product that I've learned overt the years:1. Always rinse and hang dry. I've left wet caps in my gym bag and after a month of two of neglect, it develops black spots. I don't know if it's mold, it doesn't wash off...and you'll have to buy a new cap if you don't like the spotted look.2. Pull it on gently. I've ripped one when I was trying to stretch it over my head because my long nails cut right through it. It's not cloth so you have to be careful. This goes for latex and rubber, too.3. Wet your hair first. If your hair is dry when you put it on, you will trap air under the cap. And since it's not a permeable material, the cap will start to come off...

COMFORTABLE AND DURABLE
I have used this cap almost daily for over a year. It still fits snugly and is very comfortable. Writing this review has made me think to order another one now, for the inevitable day my old one wears out.I have a rather large head and found many caps didn't fit comfortably. This one is very elastic and is great.UPDATE: 12-2011 Bought an extra but still on the first one, despite years of daily swimming. Impressive!

Great Swim Cap
I had trouble getting water in my ears before wearing this cap. Now no problem! It keeps my hair fairly dry, or at least drier than with other caps I've tried. It's easy to put on and take off--no hair pulling. It's lasted well so far. Much better than wearing a cap with a chin strap.

Excellent swim cap
I have long hair down to my waist and this cap fits me great. I ordered two other speedo caps that don't fit any of us here - long hair or no, and they seem too small so I'm wondering if they are defects. This one fits perfect, keeps my hair dry, and I have very long hair. If chlorine ruins your hair, get this.

Pretty good swim cap
It's been years since I wore a swim cap, but I'm pleased with this one. The edges of my hair get wet, but not the bulk of it, which I put up in a ponytail and then cover with the cap. Doesn't pull my hair.

love the TYR caps
I've had Speedo & Keifer lycra caps - learned years ago that by far the easiest way to deal with my long hair (below shoulder blades & very thick) is to first shove it under a lycra cap, then slide a silicone cap over it to keep most of the chlorinated water off of it. the TYR caps are definitely larger, I think you get at least another inch of height on the cap - which if you've any amount of hair at all I think makes the fit vastly better. I have a somewhat small head - just a lot of hair. The Speedo's would barely cover my hair, and if my hand slipped pulling on the silicone cap the Speedo lycra would just pop right off, whereas the TYR stays in place.I also learned the trick of wetting my hair before a swim and putting a light leave-in conditioner in, before stuffing it underneath the swim caps, in order to have the least amount of chlorine water absorbed. I tried using a silicone cap alone - they provide good protection, but with all my hair it was just a complete...

comfortable cap that works
First, lycra caps are not for keeping your hair dry or water out of your ears. Lycra caps are designed to keep your hair out of your face (if your hair is that long) and out of other swimmers' mouths. Lycra caps are generally comfortable to wear and do not pull your hair when you put them on or take them off. I began wearing caps in the old days when most pools required caps to protect the filter system. Compared to Speedo lycra cap, the Tyr is slightly larger, the fabric is slightly heavier weight, and the sewing is slightly more robust. Together that means I prefer the Tyr by quite a bit. But if your head is very small, the Speedo may be a better fit. Remember to rinse the cap after each swim and it will last a lot longer but no lycra caps will last more than a few months (you will need at least 2 to get through a long summer season of daily swims).

Durable and easy for kids to put on.

My 4 year-old's review: "Hurts to put it on but even when you put it on it's really fun but even though it hurts when you put it on, if you forget about the hurting it's really fun after you put it on." My take: Works well. It is tight going on, but needs to be. It is slightly large for her 4 year-old head.

great caps for kids
I bought the hot pink for my 4-year-old and the purple for my 2-year-old. Both fit great, no wet hair after swimming. They are a little hard to put on though, but I'm fine with that.They stay on, and the colors are great.

Does exactly what it says
