Excellent hat/sweatband for running
I already use the Halo headbands for running indoors or in the early morning before the sun becomes an issue. They're great for keeping the sweat out of your eyes. So I knew what to expect from this cap. It has a built-in Halo headband and it covers your head and shields the eyes from the sun - handy for running races that normally start around 9 in the morning.The Halo rubber gasket thing that helps keep the sweat out of your eyes does leave a temporary line on your forehead, but that goes away on its own in a few minutes. It just looks startling if you happen to glance at a mirror right after taking it off.After using I give it the same treatment I use for the headbands - soak in warm/hot water for a couple of minutes, squeeze excess water out, then let dry.

Excellent product
My husband has become a very avid runner over the past year and this is the main hat he wears, especially for his "long runs" (10 miles and more). It washes great on the gentle cycle, then I set it out to air dry. He loves it and we really need to go ahead and just order a couple more! Keeps his head cool but his face protected. Very lightweight but well constructed.

Great hat
I now have six of these! First was in orange, which led my wife to say, "Why Orange?" So I bought one in her favorite color, red, then blue, then white, then black, then lime green. Not just because she likes color. The hat is extremely comfortable, light weight, and helps in sweat absorbtion. It also washes up beautifully. I've been running for many years, and very few hats have been right--too stiff, too heavy, hard to clean, no sweat band etc. This one pretty much does it all--and the colors really are great. I've cleaned my drawer of all my hats except my marathon commemoratives. Not that I really ever wear them.

Clean in dishwasher
Works well in dishwasher. I have a front-loading washer and dryer, which it advises against using it in. So, I use it on the top rack of the dishwasher and the cap comes out clean. I do take it out before it gets too far into the drying cycle.It advises not to use in a front-loading washer/dryer or use lemon dishwashing soap (changes cap color).As far as it breaking, the closing mechanism is all plastic, like the frame. You have to twist a little to get it right, but it doesn't take a lot to figure out. And if you aren't forcing it or trying to do it quickly, it won't break.

My dogs are not at all happy with The Original Sports Cap Washer, because my husband's caps no longer smell as interesting to them as they used to. I, however, outrank the dogs (at least as of this writing, I do) and I am very happy with it!I do find that it does it's best work in the dishwasher, rather than the clothes washer. And when it tells you that you shouldn't use lemon detergent on your caps, it's telling the truth... unless you actually prefer the bleached (antiqued?) look.

Works fine.
Cap washer works fine, but you`ll get only one. I have no idea why they make picture of two, very misleading; I wanted two cap washers to wash more caps at once.Instructions are easy and clear. Overall good buy, because washing machine is too harsh and hand washing is annoying.
