Just what I wanted!!
I'm sure there are many uses for these little test tubes... Having a Harry Potter or Science themed party? They're just right!But for our family, they've got a special use... We're planning a trip back to my daughter's homeland with 2 other families with kiddos from her orphanage. It's common for people traveling to an important place to take a bit of dirt, or a bit of sand, or even some water from that place. These sturdy little tubes will be just the trick! After examining them, I'm pretty sure they'll be water-tight, but I'd put them in a ziploc bag to be sure.These test tubes are small, lightweight, unbreakable and will travel across the ocean with us to carry back whatever treasures we find...And the price is great!!!

Great cap, fit my blender even though it was a different model number
Great product. My original cap was in the blender when it was accidentally turned on...crushed to shreds! Hamilton Beach wanted to charge 10 bucks to ship the 4 dollar cap, found this one here and took a gamble that it would fit and it did! Not perfect but it does the job. Original model number is 50235, but it fits snugly and keeps the liquid in place!

about what I expected
I purchased these test tubes for storage of tiny things and for a costume. The test tubes had some dust-like debris on them. Some of them look a bluish tint while others are yellowish, this is only noticeable when they are right next to each other, and not obvious even then. The caps are hard to take out and put in, but they seal well. I think they will serve my purposes well, though I wish I had gotten screw top caps instead.

Smaller than advertised
I purchased these test tubes to hold rolled up invitations to a "science" themed birthday party. The description listed them as 1.5" in diameter, which should have been plenty big. However, the actual tubes are much smaller. The cap is about 0.75" in diameter, and the tube itself even smaller. Had to return them. They are, however, a "typical" test tube size that you might expect if you didn't read the description.

One thing not mentioned is that the caps were not attached when they arrived, and can be difficult to remove if they're put on incorrectly. You are not likely to find a price better than this on amazon or elsewhere even including shipping costs.One bottle was broken upon arrival which is curious since the package was double boxed and filled with shipping peanuts. No worries, the low cost still makes up for the one lost bottle.Swing top must be "installed" on top of bottle, but this is a breeze and can be completed for the dozen in less than 5 minutes. Just put one end (read: metal stud) of the swing top in a hole, and push the other side around the glass bottle. The other end (metal stud) will somewhat magically find the other hole. Be sure you have the swing top faced in the proper direction, or you will have to disassemble the top and start over (did this easily with a pair of pliers using leverage, but there's glass involved so it's a little worrisome...just do it correct the first time).Will buy again.
