It's great, especially for the price
This cap fits great onto my lens, and the string is great! No more searching for the cap after I take my photos. Every time I would ask myself "why did they not put a lanyard on these caps!!!???" Not sure how long the string will last because it's quite thin, but I bought two just in case one broke or got lost. When you get this cap, you will need to thread the ends of the string through a tiny hole and then tie them in a knot(pretty simple). There were no instructions, but very self explanatory in my opinion:)

String was not attached. I put a knot on there and this holds on cap side and loop on the camera side. Good cap keeper. The only thing is when I don't have it attached on the camera side it will be effort not to loose the string.

Great Nikon Product, Best Lens Cap Design
This fits the lens that comes with most Nikon kits. If you need a replacement for your this is it. The lens ships with and kits (among others) and should include this cap.The easiest way to see which lens cap you need is to look at the number on the back of the cap, which pretty obvious but I almost overlooked it. Mine says LC-52 52mm. If you've lost yours you can measure the front of your lens. Nikon's more common ones are 52mm, 62mm, 72mm, and 77mm, so the only ones...

It's a Lens Cap
It has been a life long goal of mine to write a review of a Nikon lens cap purchased from Amazon.Today I'm fulfilling this goal. I'm quite pleased it is a positive review.I would suggest you purchase at least 2 or more when you buy them. The shipping is the same and you know you will eventually loose this one too.

Does the Job
I was looking for a cheap but reliable clip on lens cover and this does the job nicely. it doesn't look like anything special but that doesn't really bother me!

Excellent Lens Cap
This cap is an excellent alternative to my Nikon OEM cap. I needed a cap without a Brand Logo to fix the sticker of my Cap Keeper Leash. This cap fits the bill perfectly.

Perfect
I keep losing my lens caps and bought 2 of these - they are exactly the same as my original lens cap that came with my Canon Rebel. I'm very happy with this purchase and I'm sure I will be buying more of these.

Fits Canon T2i
I received this lens cap as a replacement for a T2i cap that was lost. I mainly wanted to write this review to let potential customers it fits the T2i perfectly. The cap is an Original Canon Product and fits great. The price took the sting off of the original loss.

Customer Review

It's a well made lens cap, What you would expect from Canon
It does the job. You may be able to find cheaper ones but take it from me, that's not always the best way to go. I bought a $3 cap previously and it was cheaply made. The threads were messed up on it and it didn't attach to the threads on my adapter well at all. It did not stay on to good which, unless I'm mistaken, is the entire purpose for a lens cap. This cap is NOT a replacement for the slip on cap that comes with the S2/S3 cameras. It is made for use with an adapter and UV/filter lens.

Fits snug and looks great
Let me start by saying, there seems to be a misconception this cap is specifically for the S series cameras- it is for ANY Canon camera that can support 58mm adapters, filters etc. Just because your camera can use use 58mm accessories, does NOT mean it will fit on the camera on it's own. Again, it is primarily for 58mm lenses/filters that you would mount TO your camera.-The S1/2/3 feature a pop-on cap and this is NOT a pop-on cap. Therefore the E-58U will not fit as the "original" cap does.-The S5 uses this "style" of cap, and is about the same size (overall), but as stated above, the E-58U is NOT an OEM replacement cap. The S5 OEM cap is roughly a 47mm cap, because the locking tabs are positioned farther in (to match the inner diameter of the S5's "trim ring"). That means the OEM cap size is 11mm smaller compared to the E-58U, which is the reason the E-58U will not fit as the S5's OEM cap does. This cap is designed to fit into either a lens...

Quality is good, as it is from Canon
It's good as my title says, however, I found one con about it is there is no place I can put a string on it so that I have to put it in my pocket when I take it off.

BUY Canon E-58U 58mm Snap-On Accessory Lens Cap

Lens Cap

The 60mm lens hood mask is a 77mm push on Kaiser 6977 lens cap with a 54mm x 36mm hole cut in with a scalpel. If you look at the front of your 60mm lens you will see that the filter thread is set down into the lens unit and it is imposible to screw a step up ring onto the lens without a spacer. Since I took this picture I have chamfered the outer edge of the lens cap aperture with a scalpel and a fine file to create a crisp sloping edge. I packed out the core of the lens cap with card and I built up the outside with card too to make a level and firm cutting surface. When attached to the lens there is a 3mm clearance between the step ring and the front bezel of the lens. I researched the lens hood mask using black insulation tape placed across the Fuji hood and tested for vignetting at minimum focus and infinity focus at f/2. 4 and f/22. Teck  |  May 9th, 2012 at 4:36 pm. Hi Damien, I am a bit confused why you would need to put a spacer in-between the lens and stepup ring. Jack  |  May 10th, 2012 at 1:02 pm. Great idea about the lens hood. I was thinking of using just placing the 39 mm to 52 mm ring to existing lens thread. At today’s workshop I used a 4 stop ND on this lens to change a flash exposure from ISO 200, 1/160th, at f/11 to the same at f/2. 8. The lens hood easily fits over this step ring assembly. I bought a cheap ebay 39mm uv filter pitched as a protector for the 60mm Fuji lens on Ebay. I wonder if this mask might help with flare / reflection issues when using this lens in macro mode. I was one of the commentors asking more details on your lens hood mask.

From looking at one of the photos from above full size, it appears the numbers are laser cut into the caps, so that they are “raised” above the cap itself. Until I learn how to laser cut or die-cut big fancy numbers into my lens caps, this is a very easy visual aid to help you out.   I’ll take the rear cap off one lens and put it on another.   Even if you felt you could benefit from labeled end caps, it would cost you much less to just label the ones you already have. However, it is MUCH more common for me to switch end caps when switching lenses.   Even front caps of the same diameter get switched from time to time.
