I recently came across these very same hats at a local mall this past Christmas. As an avid walker and hiker, even in the dead of winter I am always looking for something a little warmer and more comfortable with the least amount of effort to put on, or carry along. For years there was the traditional knit hat, or toque that was on my list as standard equipment both for walking and hiking. That is until I tried one of these on at the mall this past holiday season and decided that they have easily incorporated into the design of these the 3 essentials necessary for keeping warm and comfy while braving the winters savage elements. A knit toque for the head, an extended ear flap to take care of the ears, and a visor for the very obvious reasons as to why we very often need one. Quite simply put, I found these hats to be far more warm and comfy than the traditional toque for surviving the long winter here in New England. Most of all, I wish that I had located the hats here before...

Suprisingly Works
The heatmax hand warmers work as described. Just shake up the little pouches and keep them in your pocket about 30 minutes and really feel them heat up. Then just place in the side cap pockets and your done. It does emit heat for 10 hours.

A Decent Beanie
I bought this one because it was one of the first Beanies listed under prime shipping. It's a decent and sufficient beanie hat that serves its purpose. A little long but easily folds up. It's easily storable and is thick enough to sufficiently keep my head warm in colder weather.

a bit thinner than I expected
not a deep winter hat but functional for mild temps above 0F ---- its a bit thinner than I expected and stays stretched after a few uses. but because its thin, it folds up nicely to fit in my pocket.

0-3 month size VERY small
This cap runs incredibly small. The tag says that the 0-3 month size is designed to fit a baby 4-6 lbs, which doesn't really make sense given that the average weight of a newborn baby in first world countries is 7.5 lbs... The good news is, the cap is very soft and well-constructed. As such, the cap is worth buying, but I definitely recommend ordering a size larger than normal.

Not very stretchy, but cute.
This is a cute cap, but it is not very stretchy at all. If it doesn't fit your baby's head just right, it doesn't seem that it will stretch easily to fit and be easy and comfortable to put on.

Great Hat For Railroaders!

The wind was blowin' pretty good that day).My husband is a railroader... been ridin' those rails for 33-years now; and he says this is the BEST hat he's ever worn. So much so, that now he won't wear anything else.He says it keeps his head WARM, as well as STAYING in place. He used to wear baseball caps, but they would fly off his head all the time in a strong gust. Not so with the Carhartt. As well, it's SOFT to the touch.
