Good fit for my 2004 Volvo S60 AWD 2.5L
For over a year I was dealing with "Check Engine" lights having to do with a large emission leak. I originally changed the gas cap with the Volvo OEM cap at twice the price thinking this would solve the trick. Nope.After a year and a half of erasing engine codes with my reader from a gas cap that could not create a good seal I decided to try this Stant cap. It has worked so well over the past few months that I bought an extra because I am concerned about losing it (there is no leash like on the OEM cap.A great buy that solved my "Check Engine" light problem. I'm a happy camper :)

Replacement fuel cap
I purchased my first replacement fuel cap from a local auto store who promised it was the right one. The dealer wanted about a 100 bucks for a new original one. I found out 30 odd days later my bargain nine dollar fuel cap was not oxygenated i.e. a requirement for a Volvo. I did some online research (something i should have done in the first place) and found the Stant fuel cap was a legitimate replacement. So I bought the Stant oxygenated fuel cap, and my fuel light no longer comes on. I checked my fuel system out at the dealer and no problems. The Stant was significantly cheaper than the dealer cap and to my surprise cheaper than the bargain fuel cap. I have had NO PROBLEMS with my fuel light coming on and it's been over 60 days. The only thing is I wish the Stant came with is the attachment chain to the car. Other than that, I think I made a good deal. Fits 1993 Dodge Stealth ES
This gas cap fits my 1993 Dodge Stealth ES DOHC. Since it fits my vehicle, I would assume it would also fit the 3000GT. It appears to be made of good quality and very similar to the original. This was an easy and cost effective way to get a new gas cap and make sure no vapors escape the gas tank. No complaints and a good product. I will update this review if any issues arise.

I should have gotten this a long time ago!
Shortly after getting my Jeep Liberty, the engine light went on & I ended up spending $100 for the service dept. to tell me that there was nothing wrong... but I should bring it back if it happened again. Well, it happened again & again. Luckily though, before I spent another dime, my father (also a Liberty owner) told me about the infamous gas cap trouble that causes the engine light to come on.After weeks of making sure the cap was on properly, the light came on one time & would not go out again no matter what. I finally ordered the Stant gas cap after some online research & the engine light has now gone out & stayed off.I can't believe that this is such a simple & cheap fix, and that Jeep service centers know about this and rip their customers off by neither replacing the cap, or telling the customers what is happening.

Just what I needed
My check engine light came on a while ago, and when I got my oil changed they said it was because of some kind of pressure vacuum something or other. But the point is they said it's most likely the gas cap. I replaced it with this one, and the light is off now. What a great price for a check engine light solution! Oh, and even though it doesn't have a cord like the factory one did, I just drilled took the tether off the old one, and drilled a hole into the cap of about the same size. Go with as small a hole as you can so the cord will be on tighter. I think I used 5/32 on the drill, then took the 7/32 bit and gouged around the inside edge ever so slightly.

Quality Better than Factory Original
My factory original gas cap for my 2009 Nissan Frontier had given out after only two years. After the service engine soon light came on, the dealer did a smoke test and found the problem was a leaky gas cap. I was told I could order the factory original for $60, I declined and checked both with Stant's website and with Amazon Automotive to see what gas cap was appropriate for my truck. The dealer had offered me an alternative $15 gas cap, with unknown quality and ship time. I opted to go with the Stant cap instead.The only downside of this was that I had to wait and drive around for three weeks before the engine light cleared itself. If I had purchased though the dealership, I could have had the trouble light cleared right away, and been sure that the gas cap would work. However, I was patient and thankfully the engine light cleared itself on the third week after I replaced the cap.The most important part of the fuel cap is the rubber seal. The stant cap...

Tethered gas cap for 2004 GMC Envoy XUV
Amazon, You are good. This came at the same time as the one for my Jimmy. Like the other cap, it installed easily and saved my something like $45.00 over the cost of the GM Dealer's suitable substitute. I checked with the local parts stores, and they had nothing tethered, but wanted to sell me an untethered cap for more money. Phooey. If you find yourself in need of an item like this, GET IT HERE and save yourself some money. I'd recommend it.Johnny O. :-)

Gas Cap Lanyard Fit
The gas cap screwed on ok; however, the new press pin for attaching the lanyard to the body panel did not fit properly and I had to take the press pin from my original gas cap and use that instead, which worked ok.
