Great Crochet Resource
All of the patterns in this book are crocheted, not knit, so I do not know why the editorial description refers to them as knit. The variety of styles of caps and wraps makes this book a great resource. There are patterns for adult women, of course, but also for babies, men, and children. The focus of the book is to provide comfort for chemotherapy patients, either loved ones or strangers through a charity. That said, you could easily use the items as gifts for healthy people, too. Only one pattern is truly chemotherapy specific, and that is the Infusion Wrap. It is a knee-length robe that buttons horizontally across the chest. The idea is to keep the patient warm and allow access to a chemotherapy port during treatment.Photography quality is good, showing several views of each piece for reference. Perfect!
I work at a large medical complex that includes a Children's Cancer Center. I have been looking for a book that had hats that the kids would really love and be excited about....not just something to cover their heads. This book has exactly the type of hats that the little ones will love. Plus they are easily adaptable to various sizes. I absolutely love this book.

Lightweight and comfortable
I am very pleased with this set of 12 caps. They are made of lightweight 100% cotton and are wonderful for warm, humid conditions. Because there is a nice variety of colors, this set is great for males, females or can be shared by couples. I love sing these while gardening, mowing the yard, fishing and use the older ones when I paint. I also wear these when I exercise to keep the sweat out of my eyes...due to being thin, they are not hot like some other types and allow my head to breath better than a bandana!!!These would also be great for wearing under motorcycle helmets, cancer patients who hate hot, itchy wigs and for bald guys who want to protect their heads from the sun.Yes, there are thicker ones out there that are more costly; however, these fit my needs just fine. Not too bad..various colors, but one washing they need to be ironed so you don't look like a train wreck. Worth the money though. Very light weight so your head can breathe. I purchased them for a minimal investment due to hair loss from chemotherapy. I always have a choice of color to coordinate with what i am wearing.
