better even than I expected
I've been riding for many years, but I'd never bought a pair of "casual" riding shorts before, always figuring that if I was going to need a padded crotch I might as well wear normal cycling shorts. I've discovered however that if I'm riding socially with friends who aren't serious cyclists, it's nice to show up in casual clothing, and if the distance is going to be more than 10 miles or so, it's good to have pads.As a result, I've been using these shorts once or twice a week since I got them, and I've appreciated them every time. Mesh vest is sturdy, light, and super-bright
Sturdy fabric, highly visible, lightweight, folds into a pocket without wrinkling, easy on/off with velcro strip in front. Makes me very visible in daylight, dusk, or dark. I never ride my bike without it. Write your name and family and doctor telephone #'s in it for extra safety, on the back side of the stripes with a laundry marker. Reflective safety vest

High Visibility, Low Price!
I was looking for a lightweight and inexpensive vest to wear for my bicycle commute to and from work. I leave for work at 4:30 AM, so I wanted something that would make me stand out. This vest was perfect. The lime green color provides day time visibility, while the wide reflective stripes make you stand out 360 degrees during non-daylight hours. I paid a little over $6.00 for this. It was a great value and a perfect solution to my problem at any price.

Sizing is like a regular t-shirt
I bought this in red. The Large is just that, an American large. Sure it's more trim than a t-shirt, but it should be that's why I got a bike jersey. however, it is still the right size.The color is bright, but not "Hello, Officer" Red. The pockets are good, I use them for snacks and such.This is a hot-weather jersey. It is very thin and breathes wonderfully.For the money, It really was a great buy. Top to learn more

Sizing and materials are great, keep in mind it has an elastic bottom and the pockets on the back have an elastic cincher as well so it fits like a fitted shirt. Finish is Poor
I'm 5'7 174 and this medium jersey fits a bit loose (approx 40 chest). The jersey is a more casual fit, not form fitting. The material thin and very breathable. The finish of the zipper inside the jersey is terrible. I'll keep the jersey but I didn't expect much for the price. I didn't get much for price. I may just send it back for a Pearl Izumi.The zipper itself works fine but inside the jersey it appears unfinished. The zipper component is exposed beyond the end seam. That is, a portion of the zipper is hanging inside the jersey at the lower chest area similar to a neck tag. The material is a bit abrasive so you can feel it jab and rub your chest.It seems that Canari could have trimmed the zipper or at least sewn a piece of fabric over the unfinished end. Great Fit, Great Price
I have gone through a LOT of bike shorts. From the $20 specials the the $120 "pro models". These bike shorts feel just as good as the $120 models. IF you are considering a cheapie pair of shorts, please don't do it. Cheap shorts are a waste of money. THESE are quality shorts at a great price. A "best bang for your buck".A few tips on bike shorts in general that not everyone is aware of. ALL lines bike shorts are intended to be worn without underwear! If you don't believe me, get out your google. If you are going to wear underwear, then don't bother with bike shorts. ALSO, you MUST wash your shorts after every use. Best pair yet
This is the most comfortable & best performing pair of cycling shorts I've owned. The last pair of another make had a similar style of padding that I got from my bike shop. These far surpass those and at a better price. Delivery was unexpectedly quick as well. I'll be buying a 2nd pair of these rather than switching between this better pair and my older breaking down shorts (one is 5 years old, the other only 2 years and is already breaking down).I would recommend these to anyone who's looking for a new pair. Comfortable. Excellent value.
I like them so much that I bought a second pair, and I'll buy more in the future to slowly phase out my old ones.There's plenty of padding in the chamois but it's flexible enough to move with you. I'm still not ready to try out bibs, so a good waistband is worth looking for, especially on long rides. The waistband on these are more comfortable than a pair that I own that cost twice as much. Fit great, low cost, protects well - use when cycling, not for hanging out
These bike shorts greatly reduce discomfort while riding. They are machine wash and dry (although I'll air dry them to keep them longer). They fit well, the padding in very comfortable and they don't have any obnoxious designs or logos all over them. The price is amazing - similar shorts at my local bike store cost around $75.And for those reviews I have read that complain about too much padding extending up front making it look awkward while you walk around, I have to say my "friends" up front are more than happy to have a little extra padding up there. I am less concerned about how suave I look walking around in them (you're wearing BIKE SHORTS! please don't hang out on the weekends in public with these on) and more concerned for overall comfort while riding. Affordable and comfortable
Take this review with a grain of salt... I only wear these for 50 min spin classes. That being said, they are great. Good fit, comfortable, padding doesn't feel too diaperish... I only wish they were slightly lower cut and weren't so long.I like these shorts much better than the Pro version (I don't like that sticky band that goes around the lower leg).Aero Tech Designs has good customer service too. I exchanged for a larger size without even asking them first (I just shipped the shorts with a note in the box), and I received the exchange a couple of weeks later. Top to learn more
Comfortable, lightweight, breathable, and great price
I've been road cycling for 15 years and have bought/worn shorts from Pearl Izumi, Canari, Voler, etc. The material on these is a bit thinner and they probably won't last as long other brands that cost twice as much, but in hot weather they are more comfortable and breath better than the competition. great bicycling shell jacket for the $53 price
This is a great lightweight cycling jacket. There is no insulation, so wear it over a thermal jersey or thermal base layer in cold weather. The jacket fabric is thick enough to give you a lot of protection from wind and rain, but thin enough to stuff into your jersey pocket if the day warms up. There are even lighter weight jackets on the market, but they don't offer the same amount of weather protection. This jacket has mesh armpit vents to keep you from overheating. The black stripes in the photo show off the semi-contoured construction; those are not stretch panels or vents. The rear of the jacket is a couple of inches lower than the front to help keep your rear end dry when you are biking in the rain.Sizing is snugger than casual jackets, but not super-snug like European pro bicycling jackets. Pearl Izumi is sold mostly to Americans who tend to be somewhat overweight. I weigh 160 pounds and size medium fits pretty well in the shoulders, but is a little loose around the... Top to learn more
Great Jacket!
I wanted a lightweight rain jacket for summer rain, i.e., rain when the temperature was above 55 degrees F. The best rain jacket, in my opinion, is the Showers Pass eVent Elite 2.0 Jacket, but that works best for cool to cold rain. The Pearl Izumi Elite Barrier Jacket is a close second! It is highly breathable and highly water resistant jacket for warm weather inclement weather. I just got it today at the post office (where it was delivered); I put it on for the light rain (~60 deg F) that was falling. Then, on our way back, we got hit with heavy rain. We were biking in it for ~15 min before we found shelter. Once we found shelter, I felt my shirt under the jacket, and it was completely dry! Amazing! Impressive!Oh, I'm 5' 6" tall, 38" chest, a typical mesomorph, not one of those skinny-type bike riders. I wear a medium to large in normal shirts (depending on which brand), but I chose XL for this jacket because I'm familiar with the Pearl Izumi sizing. The XL fits me... Top to learn more
Makes a man feel small...
I'm 6'3, 200lbs, and wear a 16x37 dress shirt, 36 pant and a 44 suit. Normally in bike jersey I wear a 2-3x. I bought a 2X although I would have probably been fine in an XL. The sleves are plenty long and will more than reach my gloves. The jacket fits well but is a little large around the middle - it catches more wind than I'd like. (This is strange because normally this is where things are tight on me.) It seems like it will be well suited for rain (I poured a cup of water on it and it didn't leak).
